APSET 2020 Apply Online,Educational qualification,Exam Pattern and registration
Online registration for APSET-2020 begin from 14/08/2020. The government of Andhra Pradesh has issued the notification for State Eligibility Test for Andhra Pradesh (APSET 2020) in online mode and has mentioned all the important dates related to APSET 2020 exam. The application process of APSET 2020 will start from August 14 and the end date for filling the form without late fee is September 19. Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria can fill the APSET 2020 registration form. To complete the application procedure of APSET 2020, candidates have to pay the application fee of Rs 1200(General) There is an increase of two exam centres of APSET 2020 this year that is Kurnool and Kadapa.
APSET is the State Eligibility Test Conducted on behalf of Government of Andhra Pradesh. This examination is conducted for assistant professors and lecturers. The candidates who qualify the exam, they will be eligible for the post of Assistant professor and lecturer in degree college and universities. There will be two papers in this examination. Paper I will be common for every student whereas Paper ii consists of subjects chosen by candidates. Candidates with a minimum aggregate of 55% in their Master’s degree are eligible to apply for APSET 2020. To know more about eligibility criteria of APSET 2020, check the official website.
This year the conducting authority increased the number of exam centres too. Candidates can choose the exam centre while filling the application form of APSET 2020. Educational qualification:
You should have a master’s degree or equivalent.
If you have appeared, or are appearing for the qualifying exam, then also you are eligible. However, in this case, you should complete a PG degree within one-two years of the date of declaration of APSET results 2020.
You should have at least 55% (50% for BC, SC, ST, PWD) in a master’s degree.
If you completed Ph.D. by 19th September 1991 then also you get 5% relaxation in aggregate marks.
Which subject should you select in APSET 2020:
You should select the same subject in APSET 2020 as your subject of post-graduation.
If exactly the same subject is not there, then you can take a related subject.
If you have previously qualified UGC NET or APSET in any subject, then you cannot appear in the same subject again.
Age limit:
There is no upper age limit for APSET 2020.
Exam Pattern:
APSET 2020 shall comprise of 2 papers – Paper I (general paper), Paper II (subject paper).
Paper 1: 50 questions, 100 marks
Paper 2: 100 questions, 200 marks
There are 30 subjects in APSET 2020, in which, there is a new subject by the name of Visual Arts. Paper 2 syllabus for APSET 2020 is the merged syllabus of earlier paper 2 and paper 3.
The registration fee for APSET 2020:
Eligible Candidates who wish to apply for APSET- 2020 may submit their applications through online mode.
- Rs 1200/-(for General Category)
- Rs 1000/-(for B.C. category)
- Rs. 700/-(for SC/ST/PH/VH category) may pay towards the application registration.
